Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur has successfully concluded its placement process for class of 2011-13 and has placed its student's in some of the most reputed firms. About 77 firms participated in the placement process with 260 offers being made for the class of 240 students. The summer placement at XLRI has been remarkable this year with the average annual package of Rs. 16.2 lakhs.
The students get job offers from top companies including Infosys, Ernst & Young, Wipro Consulting, Coca Cola, Airtel, Axis Bank, Loreal, Deloitte, Pepsi, Microsoft, ITC and amongst others. Over 65 students got PPOs (pre-placement) offers from their summer internships.
The other prominent recruiters that visited the campus included Colgate Palmolive and Pidilite, Kraft Cadbury, Dr Reddys and L&T Finance, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Peoplestrong and iCRM, Times Internet, Mindtree, Capgemini Consulting, Cairn Energy, Reliance Industries, GSK Consumer Healthcarec, Asian Paints, ICICI Bank, McKinsey, Vector Consulting, Cognizant Business Consulting, RPG and Mahindra, Gallup, TSMG, Aditya Birla Group, The Boston Consulting Group, Larsen and Toubro, Loreal, TAS, and Castrol.

Sectoral Break up:
Finance: Top recruiters like Standard Chartered Bank, Citibank, Nomura, Goldman Sachs and Development Bank of Singapore visited the campus. The largest finance recruiter among them was Standard Chartered Bank. The students were offered roles in corporate finance and treasury from reputed companies which include Axis Bank, ICICI bank, L&T Finance, L&T Finance and Airtel.
Marketing /Operations and Human Resources: Over the years,FMCGs has always remained a strong point for XLRI. XLRI has once again attained the FMCG destination, this year also. Prominent companies like the ITC, Kraft Cadbury, Castrol, Unilever, Colgate, L’Oreal and Pidilite offered the students roles in HR functions and Sales & Marketing. ITC recruited the most among them. Dr. Reddy’s and Ranbaxy represented the pharmaceutical sector. The companies that offered roles in Supply Chain domain and marketing & operations functions are Lodha Group, Airtel, Vodafone, ITC, Tata Motors and Tata Steel.
General Management: The students received huge offers for General Management sector, which is one of the most chosen sectors of the campus. Some of the key recruiters are Cairn Energy, Reliance Industries, Larsen and Toubro, Mahindra etc
Consulting: Some of the leading industry players like Boston Consulting Group, Gallup, Ernst & Young, Price water house Cooper, People Strong, Wipro Consulting, Deloitte and ICRM participated in this domain. The students were also provided with international offers.
Technology: Major industry players like the Microsoft, Infosys, Mind tree and Times Internet offered the students from various profiles in marketing, program management and HR operations. This domain is another highlight of the placement process at XLRI.
