The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test 2014 (MAH CET 2014) candidates is expected to be conducted from Monday, May 12 to Thursday, May 22, 2014, as per the Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra (DTE Maharashtra). The merit list will be announced on Monday, May 26, 2014. It is compulsory to submit the filled-in online option form for CAP rounds. Candidates need to fill the online option form via their login on the website and the form needs to be confirmed as well. After it is confirmed, candidates cannot change the options.
The CAP will be conducted based on the merit list, as per the regulations laid down by the DTE Maharashtra. CAP will be the final round of the admission process for different business schools (B-schools) in Maharashtra. It will consist of Group Discussion-Personal Interview (GD-PI) as well as document verification. Separate merit lists have been drawn for Maharashtra State (MS) and Outside Maharashtra State (OMS) candidates. Hence, CAP rounds will be different as per the merit status in both the categories. CAP will have four rounds. In the first three rounds, eligible candidates need to fill separate option forms for individual rounds. The fourth round will be a counseling session, for eligible MS candidates only.
Candidates need to note that document verification, updation and confirmation of application form for admission in person at ARC for Maharashtra State/OMS/J&K candidates will be held from Thursday, June 12 to Sunday, June 22, 2014.
MAH CET 2014 was held on Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16, 2014 for first-year admission into full-time two-year Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master in Management Studies (MMS) as well as and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programs offered by institutes in Maharashtra. The examination was held in 46 cities across Maharashtra and few other states in India.
The Results of the examination were declared on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Twenty four candidates from the state scored below the 0.00 percentile and seven candidates acquired 99.99 percentile. 493 students have scored above 99 percentile. Moreover, four candidates have achieved the highest score of 158. Altogether 536 students have scored less than 1 mark. Altogether 49,276 candidates had taken MAH CET 2014, out of which 49,252 have qualified. The examination was held online. Over 42,000 management aspirants had appeared from Maharashtra and another 11,000 from other parts of India. There are around 45,000 MMS/PGDM seats in different institutes in the state.
