Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) was established in 1972 under the Madhya Pradesh Secondary Education Act, 1965 to endorse top class education in the state. The board is vested with authority to attain its objectives & to develop the quality of education system. The primary objectives of the board are preparation of courses and publication of text books.
It also performs various functions such as prescribing courses, granting diplomas & certification, recognizing schools, imposing fines on those candidates who adopt unfair means in the examination, conducting exams in recognized institutions & declaring results.The board is undertaking several measures to develop physical, moral & social welfare of the students. Educational exhibitions are organized to help in promoting education in both urban & rural areas.
The Board adopts new strategies in order to make the system well organized so that the students obtain proper education and the society will be benefited as a whole. Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education consists of a chairperson & other ex-officio members recruited under the norms set up by the state government.
