The first ever National Eligibility Entrance Test for post graduate admissions (NEET-PG) will be conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) in 2013. As per the earlier notification, NEET-PG was scheduled to be held on January 8, 2012 but due to a number of reasons NEET-PG has been postponed to 2013. Earlier, Medical Council of India (MCI) had asked AIIMS to conduct NEET-PG in 2012 but due to lack of proper infrastructure and human resources, the institute had refused to conduct the exam.

NEET-PG will provide admission to various MS and MD courses for the academic session 2013. NEET-UG exam has been deferred to 2013.
