Jamia Milia Islamia University has completed its admission process for the academic year 2012-13 and will be starting its new session in July 2012. The university this year, witnessed maximum number of registrations for its engineering programs which was followed by a range of courses in social sciences, mass communication, education, Bachelor’s of business studies (BBS) and biotechnology.
The university received a total of 30,000 applications against its 350 BTech seats available at Faculty of Engineering and Technology. This year, the number of registrations for diploma course in engineering climbed to 11,000 from 9000 in 2011.
Sources from the civil engineering department expressed that large number of students take up BTech entrance exam every year. It is a popular choice among students due to many reasons. The university has high quality faculty and good academic environment.
The list of students qualifying the BTech entrance exam has been displayed by the university. In addition, the result of students selected for interview round for admission to MPhil and MA for this academic year has been declared by the department of English.
