The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a mobile application to help the CBSE board students. The app will assist students to find their exam centre. This new mobile app called Exam Centre Locator (ECL) will allow students to locate their exam centre with the help of their roll number. The app is aided with GPS technology to geo-locate the exam venue.

The CBSE officials highlighted that the app will help the students to find the address and image of the location. A student will be able to track the location and reach their respective examination centre from their current location.

The students writing the CBSE Board Exams 2017 can download the app from Google Play store. To access the app, students have to register through their mobile number which will generate an One Time Password (OTP) number. The students can seek information by selecting their class option X or XII and entering their roll number.

A student’s information, address and an image of their exam venue will be displayed on the mobile screen for ease. The route map for the location can also be access through the application.

For this academic year CBSE has decided to conduct the Class 10th and Class 12th examinations from Thursday, March 09, 2017. The duration of the exam is from 10.30 am. The 2017 class 10th exam will conclude on Monday, April 10, 2017 and CBSE Class 12 board examination will end on Saturday, April 29, 2017.
