Karnataka CET 2012: Seat allotment list published

Published On: 26 Jul 2012 | Last Updated On: 26 Jul 2012

The list of seat allotment for Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2012 rank holders was released on July 25, 2012 on the official website of KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority). Nearly 52423 rank holders were allotted seats through online option entry process.

Aspirants who are content with the allotted seat can collect their admission letter from KEA helpline centers between July 26 to July 30, 2012. The centers will remain functional from 8 am till 7 pm to assist admission process.

A candidate who is satisfied with the seat allotment and has chosen option 1 is required to take the print out and contact helpline centers where the documents were verified. Candidates collecting admission order must also inform KEA that they have joined the college. If a candidate does not inform KEA, the respective seat will be cancelled despite of him joining the college.

If a candidate opts for option 2, then the previously allotted seat will get cancelled automatically. If no fresh entry is made, earlier allotted seat will be considered as the final choice of a student.

The changes made by the candidates during mock allotment are getting reflected in the actual list. The students are optimizing the option entry choice by making changes as many times as they want. In case a candidate is not happy with the allotted seat and wants to attend the next round by quitting the earlier allotted seat, can do so by clicking option 3. Option 4 is for those candidates who have taken admission elsewhere and are quitting. Such students will not be taken into account for further allotment in next rounds. Further, if a candidate fails to choose any of the 4 options, the allotted seat will be cancelled.

The actual allotment and online allotment of seats went off smoothly.
