National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has planned to conduct the preliminary online exam for the recruitment for the post of Assistant Manager (Grade A) on May 19, 2018. Interested candidates can apply for the post. As per records a total of 92 vacancies have been announced this year.
New pattern for the NABARD preliminary online exam
This year, there has been a slight change in the pattern of the NABARD phase-I exam. But, overall the pattern and type of questions remain the same.
- The weightage given to the Agriculture & Rural Development (ARD) and Economic & Social Issues (ESI) papers have been increased from 25 to 40 marks.
- The weightage given to the quantitative aptitude and reasoning sections have been reduced from 30 to 20 marks and 40 to 20 marks, respectively.
Based on the new pattern, students should note that more important is given to Agriculture & Rural Development (ARD) and Economic & Social Issues (ESI). Students should keep a track of economic and social welfare schemes, committees and agencies set up by the government, ranks achieved by India in various index, the Economic Survey, and current affairs.
Mock Test and Syllabus
The syllabus is available on NABARD’s website; applicants should visit the official site of NABARD and get details of the syllabus. Mock tests are available on various websites; aspiring students should visit such website and take the online mock tests. These mock tests are prepared by experts, they cover important topics that will help candidates understand what type of questions will be asked and also it will be a practise before the examination.
Candidates can brush-up basic knowledge of economics and social science one can refer to NCERT of class VIII-XII. Learn various economic concepts for the static part and about social reforms, census, schemes, etc. Most of the questions are based on current affairs related to ESI. Cover current affairs of last one year.
