The ITI entrance exam was conducted on July 14, 2012 at 73 exam centers in Kanpur. A total of 37,779 candidates took the exam.
The exam was conducted in 2 shifts from 9 am to 11.30 am and 2 pm to 4.30 pm. Strict security measures were taken and students were checked properly. The officials also checked the admit cards before allowing the students in examination halls.
Nearly 350 candidates were issued admit cards in ITI before the first shift exam started. Many candidates could not take the exam as they could not receive admit cards.
The students revealed that exam was difficult and questions were tricky. But some students found the physics and mathematics sections easy.
