Indore Christian College, Indore was established in 1887 by Canadian Mission. It is an educational institution which was run by Protestant Christian Minority Community. DAVV Mateshwari Sugni Devi Girls College:
DAVV Mateshwari Sugni Devi Girls College, Indorewas established in 1982 by the Onkar Charity Trust. The collegeis located in the erstwhile textile mill area of Indore city. By an agreement M.P. State Govt. transferred the college from the Onkar Charity Trust to the Devi Ahilya University Indore. Thus the college becomes a constituent College of Devi Ahilya University, Indore. Now Devi Ahilya University is the managing body of the college.
The college was started with 47 girl's students on roll in the B.A course. The college students have been largely first generation learners who after graduating or even after taking PG degree got absorbed in jobs in central/state govt. offices, state police department, school and college teaching department, public service commission posts.
Govt. Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls PG College:
Govt. Maharani Laxmi Bai Girls PG College, Indore was established in 1965, which was formerly known as Govt. New Girls P.G. College is one of the prominent colleges in Indore. The college began with a modest strength of 28 and now has acquired with strength of 2196 with the faculty like science, fine arts, home science, commerce and library science.
The college has acquired the basic infrastructure and the commitment to develop an institution that can be regard as a college of excellence with specialized career oriented courses. Islamia Karimia College:
Islamia Karimia College, Indore was established in 1962 by Dr. Zakir Hussain. The college is also known as I.K. College and is maintained by Islamia Karimia Society, which in itself is a milestone in the field of education. Islamia Karimia College is affiliated to Devi Ahilya vishwavidyala and runs its classes at two different campuses. In 1994, Islamia Karimia College has been chosen by UGC amongst seventy colleges from all over India to run the vocational training programs.
The college is at the fore-front in the field of sports. The college has well equipped library, the university result of the college have been very good. I.K. MB Khalsa College:
MB Khalsa College, Indore was established in 1990 by M B Khalsa Education Society. The college has been established by minority Sikh Community of Indore to promote technological and educational excellence in the advanced areas of computer science and electronics. Govt. Holkar Science College:
Govt. Holkar Science College, Indore was established in 1891 as Maharaja Shivaji Rao School by the ruler of the erstwhile Indore (Holkar) dynasty Maharaja Shivaji Rao. The college was affiliated to the University of Calcutta till 1904 and then to the University of Allahabad from 1926 to 1940. Presently, the college is affiliated to Devi Ahilya University of Indore. It was given a status of an autonomous college in 1988 by D.A. University with the consent of the state govt. and UGC, New Delhi.
In 1994-95 it was declared as a centre of excellence by the sate government with the grant of UGC, employment oriented courses like seed technology and fisheries were started in the same year. The basic objective was to inspire students & teachers forwards excellence, creative and innovative ideas, to meet the local needs and to evolve a process of continual evaluation and to record the achievements of the students.
PMB Gujarati Science College:
