The last date to submit applications with fees for re-evaluation of answer scripts by test-takers of the Karnataka Second Pre University Certificate (II PUC) examination has been extended from Tuesday, May 20 to Saturday, May 24, 2014, by the Department of Pre-University Education, Government of Karnataka (DPUE).
As per department officials, there is an increased number of re-evaluation requests this year. Hence the deadline to submit the same has been extended to accommodate numerous requests from students and their parents. There have been protests also due to a delay in providing the answer script photocopies, which delayed submitting of applications for re-evaluation as well. The department had already received more than 30,000 applications for re-evaluation by Saturday, May 17, 2014.
Test-takers who are not satisfied with the II PUC Results this year have been extended the opportunity to send recheck applications. Candidates can acquire photocopies of the answer scripts by applying for a revaluation or retotalling with a fee. The fee to acquire the photocopy for one subject is Rs 504. The fee for revaluation (for one subject) is Rs 1,260 and the fee (for one subject) for retotalling is Rs 336.

Out of the total 6.13 lakh students who took the examination, 60.47% (3.71 lakh candidates) have cleared it, which is an increase of little more than 1% compared to last year’s 59.36%. The examination was held from Wednesday, March 12 to Thursday, March 27, 2014.
Test-takers who could not clear their II PUC examination have been offered another chance.
