The Symbiosis National Aptitude Test 2014 (SNAP 2014) will be held from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, December 21, 2014 in 30 cities. The website provides a list of instructions to be followed by the examinees on the day of the test, as mentioned below.
The candidate needs to report to the test center by 1 pm. The test procedure will begin at 1.30 pm. Candidates who report after 2 pm will not be allowed to take the test.
Candidates have to bring the following documents to the test center - admit card on which the latest, colored, passport-size photograph is pasted at the place provided for and duly attested by a gazetted officer, photo identity as specified in the admit card section as well as blue/black ballpoint pen. The test invigilator will check and authenticate the admit card.
Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/memory or any other electronics gadget will not be allowed in the examination hall.
Candidates need to occupy the seat allotted by verifying the seat number pasted on the desk and indicated in the admit card.
The test booklet will be distributed just before the start of the test. The candidate must ensure that the booklet is sealed. If not, or if there is any other problem regarding the booklet, the invigilator has to be informed.
The invigilator will instruct candidates to start answering the test at 2 pm.
SNAP 2014 has retained its pen-paper format and candidates have to use blue or black ball point pen only.
The candidate may attempt any section of the test in any order. The test will consist of four sections for a total of 180 marks as follows - General English: Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Ability for 40 marks; Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency for 40 marks; General Awareness: General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Business Scenario for 40 marks and Analytical & Logical Reasoning for 60 marks.
SNAP 2014 will be an objective test. Each question will have 4 responses. Candidates should choose an appropriate response. Each incorrect answer attracts 25% negative marks.
The candidate will not be allowed to leave the hall till the test is over at 4 pm and until the invigilator collects all the answer Optical Mark Reader (OMR) sheets and question papers.
Candidates found using any unfair means will forfeit their chance of being considered for admission and will be debarred from receiving SNAP scores.
SNAP is one of the most important entrance examinations in India, conducted by the premier Symbiosis International University Pune (SIU Pune) for admissions into Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs offered by different business schools (B-schools) under SIU.
Group Exercise (GE) has made a comeback as criteria for admissions based on SNAP 2014.
The online registration process for SNAP 2014 started on Wednesday, September 3 and will be conducted till Wednesday, November 26, 2014. The admit cards will be available on the SNAP website from Saturday, December 6 to Sunday, December 21, 2014. The Results are expected to be declared on Saturday, January 10, 2015.
