IGNOU Admission for Pediatric Nutrition courses

IGNOU has announced the admission for Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition.The Last date for the application to apply is  June 30th for July 2012 Session.

Post Graduate Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition (PGDPDN) – The minimum duration for the course is 1 year and maximum duration for the course is for 4 years .There is no age bar.  Th e course  is worth 32 credits Candidate from these streams can apply to the course - B.Sc. (Home-Science) Degree with specialization in Foods and Nutrition, Clinical and Therapeutic Nutrition,  PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health/Nutrition or its equivalent,  Master of Science (M.Sc. degree) in Nutrition OR Dietetics OR Public Health,  B. Pharma Degree OR BSc. Nursing, MBBS Degree, AYUSH (Unani, Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Sidha) Degree (BHMS, BUMS etc.),  B.Sc. Degree in Home Science, Food Science, Life Sciences (Botany, Zoology), Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Physiotherapy WITH Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE) degree obtained from IGNOU.             

The programs are designed on a modular approach for the provision of employment/career orientation of programs and providing opportunities for higher and continuing education to large segments of population.

Post Graduate Certificate in Pediatric Nutrition (PGCPDN)- It is a six month online distance program  worth 16 credits .The maximum duration is for 2 years. Students who successfully complete the six month online program are eligible to graduate with the PG Certificate in Pediatric Nutrition. Students have an option to continue with the program further and after successfully completing additional 16 credit course work (total 32 credits) would be eligible for a Postgraduate Diploma in Pediatric Nutrition (PGDPDN).
