The online application submission process for the State Eligibility Test for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh 2014 (SET-TS & AP-2014) has been extended, as per a recent decision by the Osmania University, Hyderabad.

According to university officials, the decision to revise the schedule has been taken due to a large number of requests from the students regarding the same. The requests were made as a result of the recent holidays in the two states as well as the cyclone-related situation in AP.

Thereafter, the university has issued the updated schedule of the online application submission process.

Candidates need to note that the last date of online submission of applications without late fee is Saturday, November 8, 2014. With late fee of Rs 100, the submission window is Sunday, November 9 to Saturday, November 15, 2014. Moreover, with late fee of Rs 200, the submissions can be done from Sunday, November 16 to Thursday, November 20, 2014.

The deadline to submit the printed online applications is Monday, November 24, 2014.

The SET-TS & AP-2014 will be conducted by the Osmania University from 9.30 am to 4 pm on Sunday, January 4, 2015. The examination will be conducted in 27 subjects. The SET is deemed equivalent to the National Eligibility Test (NET) held till recently by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is compulsory for recruitment of teaching positions in colleges as well as universities. However, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be conducting the NET from this year instead of the UGC.

Please visit the official website for information on eligibility, fee structure, syllabus, examination pattern, examination centers, etc of SET-TS & AP-2014.
