The deadline for applications of the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programs offered by the Xavier Institute of Social Service Ranchi (XISS Ranchi) has been extended till Thursday, February 20, 2014. Only online registrations will be accepted.
The full-time two-year PGDM programs of XISS Ranchi are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The programs offer specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management (HRM), Information Technology (IT) and Rural Management. The HRM and Rural Management programs have 75 seats each. All the other programs have 60 seats each. A candidate can apply for a maximum of two specializations. Application fees will vary accordingly.
Admissions at XISS Ranchi are granted on the basis of scores acquired in all India level management admission tests, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). For admissions into the 2014-16 batch, scores of the Xavier Aptitude Test 2014 (XAT 2014)/Common Admission Test 2013 (CAT 2013)/Common Management Admission Test September 2013 (CMAT September 2013) will be accepted.
Candidates need to apply separately at XISS Ranchi. The application fee can be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card or any other online option. It can also be paid via bank draft, drawn in favor of "Xavier Institute of Social Service", payable at Ranchi. The draft must be sent to the institute address within 15 days of application. The candidates need to write their name and the XAT/CAT/CMAT ID/Roll No. on the reverse of the bank draft.
Candidates need to submit separate applications for different entrance examinations. They have to make separate payments for each of the applications.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the GD and PI round on the basis of their scores in the aforementioned entrance examinations. The GD and PI round will be conducted in the cities of Ranchi, New Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai from Saturday, March 15 to Thursday, March 20, 2014.
The weightage assigned to the entrance test score will be 50%, previous academic record will be 10%, GD will be 15% and PI will be 25%.
