Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham AEEE 2019 BTech Admission begins

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has announced its AEEE 2019 BTech Admission. The examination will be conducted in two modes, computer-based test on five days with three slots on each day and pen and paper test held only in Tamil Nadu, one slot on one day.  Both CBT and PPT are of two and a half duration. The number of questions asked is 100, 30 each from physics and chemistry and 40 marks from mathematics.


  • The syllabus is based on the subjects in Class XI and Class XII
  • The syllabus consists of three sections: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • The syllabus for AEEE-2019 is given in Appendix – IV. (Refer Information Handbook)
  • All the questions are of Multiple Choice types
  • Four answers are given as choices for each question. Equal weightage is given to all the questions. 3 (three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (negative one) for each wrong answer
  • Candidates can choose the most appropriate answer for each question in the Computer Based Test mode
  • Answers marked can be changed later, before the final submission of all the answers. Candidates can practice the test online through the link published in

  • In case a candidate, by furnishing the false information, appears in more than one slots/dates of the computer-based examination or appears in both the modes of examination, i.e. pen and paper-based and computer-based examination, his/her candidature will be cancelled, and his result will not be declared

Cities/Towns of AEEE 2019 Examination Centres

  • Candidates shall fill three choices of cities to attend AEEE 2019
  • The list of cities is given in Appendix – I. (Refer Information Handbook)
  • However, if the number of candidates for appearing for CBT is less than minimum capacity in a centre on a particular date, then there is a chance that all such candidates may be allotted last day of the computer-based examination in the same city
  • Similarly, efforts will be made to allot candidate’s choice of the city as per their option exercised in the application form. However, in some exceptional circumstances, a different city in the nearby area may be allotted

Requests for Change of Examination City/Town

  • Normally, the requests for change of centre will not be entertained
  • In this regard, the decision of the Admission Committee will be final

Use of Calculator and Communication Aids

  • Use of electronic devices like mobile phone, calculator etc. is not permitted in AEEE 2019
  • Materials like log table, book, notebook, etc. should NOT be brought into the examination hall

Some questions and mark distribution:

  • In mathematics, 40 questions will be asked consisting of 120 marks
  • In physics 30 questions of 90 marks
  • Chemistry 30 questions of 90 marks
  • Total number of questions 100 consisting of 300 marks
