Delhi University (DU) admission process 2019 for foreign nationals- Admission into the various courses of the Delhi University for foreign students has begun with effect from February 22, 2019. This will be for the academic session 2019-2020. The notice was released on Thursday, February 21, 2019.

The courses for which the applications are invited are undergraduate, post-graduate, M.Phil, Ph.D., certificate and diploma programmes. The foreign student’s Registry website - will have all the details and the process for registration online.

More than 500 programmes at various levels are offered by the Delhi University. Foreign students are exempted from appearing for the entrance test for admission into the above-mentioned courses. The programmes belonging to various disciplines which include social sciences, arts, commerce, law, natural and applied sciences, said the announcement by the university.

Delhi University takes pride of place in providing higher education to students of foreign nationality. Students from all over the world are attracted to join the various courses offered by the university. One of the more popular courses here is that of Hindi and students from countries like China, Korea, and Africa are more inclined towards taking this course.

All foreign students need to pay a one-time Foreign Students Registration Fee. There is no Age limit, all courses have their respective qualifying exams but in case a teacher or professor has had good teaching experience and possesses a masters degree then the requirements are waved off and he/she can be admitted directly to the PhD course. but not in professional courses where the regulatory body (e.g. MCI, AICTE) may have e a minimum age requirement.

Candidates must have passed a recognized examination application must be sent on the prescribed form (which can be downloaded from the University website and also photostat copies of their applications have to be submitted The process of admission for foreign students depends on the authenticity of the institutions from where they have earned their qualifying degree this is thoroughly checked before granting admission.

Delhi university issues a provisional admission letter to the candidate who satisfies all requirements and copy of this letter is sent to  the Indian Mission in the country of domicile of the candidate and the student will be issued a student’s Visa from the Indian Mission of his /her domicile country  No foreign student can be admitted to Delhi University without a valid Student’s Visa. The Visa can be extended in the studies o require and if the govt is convinced that the payment received by the student is through proper, recognized and valid banks.
