Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) PhD Admissions Begin

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has invited postgraduates with UGC/CSIR-NET-JRF/ICMR-JRF/DBT-JRF/JEST/Inspire Fellowship or having qualified other UGC recognised national or state level eligibility tests with a valid fellowship to apply to the PhD program in areas of medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, allied health sciences, regenerative medicine, dentistry, public health, engineering and management at Manipal Academy of Higher Education.

Additional Support

MAHE will support candidates enrolled for the PhD program in the following ways:

  • The students will be paid a stipend of Rs.14,000 a month until they get the fellowships from the granting agency
  • Contingency grants of Rs. 1.50 lakh a year for three years will be given for research works of the students to cover equipment, consumables and publication costs
  • Financial assistance to a maximum of Rs.25000 for each student during the entire fellowship period, for presenting a paper at the national/international conferences
  • Candidates who have been selected under the scheme are exempted from payment of course fee
  • Also, candidates are exempted from the qualifying written test conducted by MAHE, and their selection would be by a panel of experts through the interview

Eligibility

Masters’ degree or a professional degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7-point scale (or for an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
