TA Pai Management Institute earns Accreditation from AMBA for three years

TAPMI- The Association of Master of Business Administrations (MBAs) or AMBA has given accreditation to the TA Pai Management Institute, Manipal (TAPMI) for three years, according to a media statement issued by TAPMI. As per the announcement, TAPMI has now become one of the few prestigious business schools that had been given accreditation to the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The second accreditation of AMBA and AACSB has elevated TAPMI to the elite club of five renowned business schools in the country.

Professor Madhu Veeraraghavan, Director of TAPMI, said that the accreditation accorded to it was a testimony of its tireless efforts of the Institute’s faculty to provide state of the art curriculum to its students. What is more, this accreditation would help the Institute to work towards greater heights and remain ahead of the curve.

AMBA accredits programs from only the top 2% of business schools across 70 countries, and in India, only twelve institutions have received this mark of excellence, according to the statement.

Professor Simon George, Dean- Academics, TAPMI, said:“We believe that AMBA accreditation is a validation of TAPMI’s quality and rigour in designing and delivering. But accreditation is not an end in itself. To us, it is a milestone in our journey of continuous improvement. As a member of the best schools globally, we will have an opportunity to benchmark and raise our standards.”

In addition to the AMBA and the AACSB accreditation, TAPMI’s programs are approved by the All India Council Technical Education (AICTE), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

On the official website, Prof Veeraragahavan said, “It is an honour and privilege to serve this glorious Institute as a Director. Since the formal announcement was made, I have received hundreds of messages from various stakeholders, and I thank each one of them for support and warm welcome. It is with great enthusiasm that I embrace this position and thank the Trust and Governing Council members for the opportunity given to me. The higher education sector is facing a lot of challenges but there are also some opportunities, and I shall work with all the stakeholders of TAPMI to take TAPMI to greater heights. It is in this context that I present to you Vision 2022. I very much look forward to hearing your views and suggestions and talking to all the stakeholders and also learn from you, onwards and upwards.”

The student city of Manipal, Karnataka plays host to the T.A. Pai Management Institute, fondly known as TAPMI. With academic rigour and experiential learning at its core, TAPMI’s Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programs is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) since its constitution. Formed in 1980, TAPMI is one among the seven institutes in India and 5% of the top business schools worldwide to have been accredited with the illustrious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation, the oldest and toughest accreditation in the world of business education.
