Application process of NEET UG 2019 begins from November 1, 2018
NEET UG 2019 – The application process of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 has commenced on its official website, nta.ac.in from this morning. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being undertaken by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.
JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination. The photograph uploaded by the candidates without name and date are now accepted.
NEET is held for the admission to MBBS/BDS courses in India in medical and dental colleges administered with the recognition of the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions set up through an Act of Parliament such as the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education (JIPMER) in Puducherry (Pondicherry).
Beginning today, the NEET UG 2019 application process will end on November 30, 2018. The examination is scheduled for May 5, 2019, and the Admit Cards will be available to the candidates on April 15, 2019. Scoffing of all speculations, the NEET UG 2019 examination will be held offline and will follow a similar pattern as previous years. Like last year, the question paper will be made available in the same number of languages. The question paper carries 180 questions, while there will be 45 questions in physics, 45 questions in Chemistry and 45 questions each from Botany and Zoology.
Each question will carry four marks thus making the total to 720. For each wrong answer, one mark will be deducted. For the comprehension of the students, the NTA has also created video lectures available on the official website, prepared by the professors of the IITs. These lectures will help students comprehend the basic concepts of each critical topic from physics, chemistry and biology.
The first attempt of online submission of application form up to 11.50 PM (including uploading of photograph and signature) is 1.9.2018 to 30.9.2018, the second attempt from 8.2.2019 to 7.3.2019. The first attempt on the date for the successful final transaction of fee (through credit/debit card/Net Banking up to 11.50 PM and through e-challan up to bank hours) is from 1.9.2018 to 1.10.2018 and second attempt from 8.2.2019 to 8.3.2019.
The first attempt dates of examination are between 6.1.2019 (Sunday) to 20.1.2019 (Sunday) and the second attempt between 6.4.2019 (Sunday) to 20.4.2019 (Sunday). The first attempt declaration of results on NTA’s website will be by January 31, 2019, and second attempt by April 30, 2019.
