Executive MBA program launched at IIT Madras
Executive MBA will help professionals enhance their career opportunities. IIT Madras is inviting applications from middle and senior-level professionals. It is a 2-year degree program, and the application process started on September 30, 2018. For working professionals, the MBA program is specially designed and can be pursued easily alongside the career as classes will be held on alternate weekends.

IIT Madras- Overview
In higher technological education, basic and applied research, Indian Institute of Technology Madras is one among the foremost institutes of national importance. For establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India, in the year 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance. For the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology, the first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany at Madras was signed in 1959.
In 1959, the Institute was formally inaugurated by Prof. Humayun Kabir, Union Minister for Scientific Research and Cultural Affairs. The IIT system has sixteen Institutes of Technology. The first of these to be instituted is at Kharagpur (est. 1951), Mumbai (est. 1958), Chennai (est. 1959), Kanpur (est. 1959), Delhi (est. 1961), Guwahati (est. 1994) and Roorkee (est. 1847, joined IITs in 2001).
Located in a beautiful wooded land of about 250 hectares, IIT Madras is a residential institute with nearly 550 faculty, 8000 students and 1250 administrative & supporting staff and is a self-contained campus. It has established itself as a premier centre for teaching, research and industrial consultancy in the country.
