GATE 2019 examination schedule released by IIT Madras
GATE 2019 examination – The exam schedule for the GATE 2019 Examinations, scheduled in February 2019 has been released by the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). Between February 2 and 10, the examination will be held over a period of four days, noted an NDTV report. The GATE 2019 exam schedule has been released on the official website of the competitive exam which is being conducted as an entrance examination for admission in postgraduate and research programmes in the country, said the report. The GATE 2019 will be held in two shifts on each day; morning and afternoon. Also, the GATE 2019 admit card will be released on January 4, 2019. The GATE 2019 exam schedule can be accessed from gate.iitm.ac.in.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an examination held jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and the seven IITs (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-Gate, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and or financial assistance to Master’s Programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and Doctoral programs in relevant branches of Science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Governing agencies.
Even in some colleges and institutions, which admit students without MHRD scholarship/assistantship, the GATE qualification is compulsory. Furthermore, many public sector undertakings have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.
