GUJCET 2019 Examination will be held on March 30
GUJCET 2019 Examination – The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will hold the GUJCET 2019 Examination on March 30. GUJCET 2018 was conducted on April 23. The GSHSEB will release the application form for Gujarat Common Entrance Test either in February or March first week, according to an IE report. Candidates can start applying by visiting the official website – gujcet.gseb.org. GUJCET 2019 result be declared usually release in May end or early June, the report pointed out.
GUJCET is held for securing admissions to engineering and degree/diploma pharmacy courses in government, government-aided and self-finance institutes of the state. The examination will be conducted in Gujarati, Hindi and English medium for which online applications are to be submitted, the date of which will be announced later. Over 1.36 lakh candidates took the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) at 34 centres in 2018. Out of a total of 1, 36,498 registered candidates, 1, 34,979 sat for the examinations.
GUJCET is a state level entrance examination which is administered by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) which the candidates can appear after clearing Class 12 for admission to engineering and degree, diploma pharmacy courses in government, grant-in-aid and self-financed institutes of Gujarat.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board or GSEB is a government of Gujarat body responsible for determining the policy-related, administrative, cognitive, and intellectual direction the state’s secondary and higher secondary educational system takes.
The key responsibilities of the Board include academics, conducting examinations and research and development. The board is responsible for registration and administration of higher secondary and secondary schools in the state of Gujarat.
The Gujarat board was formed by ‘The Gujarat Secondary Education Act 1972’. It is a very popular board in the Gujarat State. It conducts a state level exam. The main academic task of GSEB is the preparation of syllabus for secondary schools and also the recommendation of text-books to be taught in government schools as well as registered private schools. The Board also performs the duties of recognising new schools, performance evaluation of schools and inspections of various schools associated with the Board.
The GSEB conducts two (including four-semester type examinations) main examinations – The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam for Standard X and the Higher Secondary (School) Certificate (HSC) examination for Standard XI-XII students in Gujarat. The Board also holds a Talent Search for students of Class VIII and Class IX in five major subjects every year. It is divided into two major parts. What is more, recently, GSEB has changed State level Examinations from JEE(Mains) to GUJCET.
