Indian Business Schools improve their ranking in MBA Ranking 2019

MBA Ranking 2019 – Premier Business Schools in India like Indian School of Business Hyderabad, Indian Institutes of Management – Calcutta and Bangalore had improved their positions in the Financial Times (London) Global MBA Ranking-2019, while IIM Ahmedabad slips by 16 points to 47, as per PTI report.

When ISB was ranked 24th against the 28th slot in 2018, the IIM Calcutta was at 49th slot from the 78th rank in the previous year. The IIM Bombay, meanwhile, stood at 33rd slot improving from 35th in 2018, quoting the FT, the agency report said.

The Stanford Graduate School of Business is still showing its dominance by consistently at the top the FT Ranking chart, while Harvard Business School was ranked number two, the report said. Responding to the FT Ranking, ISB in a statement was quoted as saying by the report that the postgraduate program of the B-School is ranked 24th among the top 100 global MBAs and is the only institution in the country to figure in the top 25.

The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) of the Indian School of Business (ISB) has been ranked at #24 worldwide in the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2019, as per a statement released by ISB. The school has improved by four positions from its 2018 rankings. ISB is ranked #1 in India and is the only b-school to figure in the Top 25.


Several factors have contributed to this improvement in the rankings. With a 187% salary increase of its alumni, ISB is ranked at #3 worldwide on that parameter. At 34% of women students, ISB has the largest intake of women students amongst Indian business schools. As has now become the norm for the School, ISB ranks pretty high in terms of the number of students who are placed within three months of graduation. On other key parameters like weighted salary, the percentage of aims achieved, career services success, value for money, alumni recommendation, the School has made steady progress.
