JEE Main 2019 Admit Cards to be released in December 2018

JEE Main 2019 – Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) MAIN will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Examination was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.  The JEE Main is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating though Central Seat Allocation Board subject to the condition that the candidate should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST candidates the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th class examination.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2019) January examination registrations have closed on the official website, The students, who had registered for the examination would now be required to download the admit cards, which would be released in December 2018, according to TOI report. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released an important notice pertaining to the uploaded photographs on the official website. The parents and their wards should note that as per the information bulletin, the students are required to upload the photographs which had the name and date printed on it. In fact, it has come to the notice of the NTA that many students have not complied with the requirement. What is more, given the representations received, the NTA has released a notice for all such candidates.

According the notice on, the photographs uploaded by the candidates sans the name and date are accepted as the students need not worry about the same. There is no need to send any representations either. The forms are accepted and students would be allowed to appear for the examination. The JEE Main 2019 Examination dates, shift and city details have also been released on Students who have not yet checked the same are advised to check the same. The JEE Main 2019 January Examinations will be held from January 6-20, 2019.

Meanwhile, the NTA has also released the information for the JEE Main 2019 Examination Centres, City and Shift allotted to applicants on Those students who had applied for the examination can now check on the official website and The students are advised to go through the information.

The NTA will not send any SMS or e-mail regarding any updates to the candidates. The NTA will hold the online computer based test for JEE Main 2019 paper I. The paper II will continue to be a pen and paper based test. Also, JEE Advanced 2019 will be held on May 19, 2019 by IIT Roorkee. An estimated 2.3 lakh candidates are likely to be selected for appearing in the examinations based on their JEE Main 2019 rank.
