JEE Main 2019 -Examination Dates, Time Table, Admit Card

JEE Main 2019 – On December 17, 2018, the National Testing Agency (NTA) issued JEE Main Admit Card from 2019. For the January session, the registration was closed on September 30. The students are requested to contact the authorities at in case of any discrepancy. Check JEE Main Exam Centers.

The national level examination will be conducted twice a year (January and April) in online (computer based) mode. The information on the release of hall ticket will be notified via SMS and email provided at the time of filling the online form.

Admit Cards

From December 17, 2018, the admit card for January session will be available. On the home page of the official website, a link to download the admit card for JEE Main will be flashed. Click on that and proceed to download the hall ticket by following these steps:

  • Visit NTA Official Website i.e.
  • Click on ‘Download Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2019 (Server 1)’ or ‘Download Admit Card of JEE (Main) 2019 (Server 2)’ given at the bottom of the page.
  • Enter application number, password and the security pin in the provided space.
  • Those who appeared in Class 12, enter CBSE Board Roll Number as well.
  • Verify all the details and click on ‘Download Your Admit Card’.
  • Submit the details to view JEE Main 2019 Admit Card. Click on download to save the pdf copy and print multiple copies.

Hall Ticket Information

JEE Main Hall Ticket will contain the following information with regard to candidates taking up JEE Main 2019.

  • Candidate’s Name
  • Paper/Papers Chosen
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Address of Exam Center
  • State Code of Eligibility
  • Category
  • Date and time of the Exam
  • Passport Sized Photograph (as uploaded in the application form)
  • Signature (as uploaded in the application form)
  • The medium of Question Paper
  • General Instructions for the exam

JEE Main 2019 Exam Schedule

Across 36 states and union territories in India, the engineering and architecture examination will be conducted in 258 cities. The students should select a maximum of four centres while filling in the application form. The NTA will notify the exam schedule for Paper 1 and Paper 2 any time soon. Across 8 different settings, JEE Main will be conducted multiple times. To appear for JEE Main Paper, Candidates must select only one sitting.

JEE Main 2019 – January Session

From January 6 – 20, the computer-based test is scheduled. The hall tickets will be available from December 17, 2018, onwards and the students can find the tentative schedule for JEE Main 2019 below.:

JEE Main 2019 – April Session

The April session is scheduled from April 7 – 21, 2019. The admit cards for NTA JEE Main April session will be available from March 18, 2019. The tentative schedule is given below:

About JEE Main Exam Pattern 2019

The exam pattern for JEE Main is defined by the Central Board of Secondary Education. JEE Main 2019 is conducted for two papers namely Paper 1 (B.E./ B.Tech.) and Paper 2 (B.Arch./ B.Planning). Highlights of the paper pattern are tabulated below:

 Marking Scheme

  • Each question carries 4 marks and for every incorrect attempt, 1/4 marks will be deducted
  • Each objective type question carries 4 marks
  • For every objective type incorrect attempt, 1/4 marks will be deducted.
  • 2 drawing questions contain total 70 marks.
