JEE Main Result 2019 out while students show their displeasure
JEE Main Result 2019– The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains result 2019 has been announced and now students have to brace up themselves for the next step. The JEE 2019 Main Result will be accessible on the official website jeemain.nic. JEE Main Seat Allocation Procedure The NTA is only an examination conducting body. Those who have cleared the JEE Mains would not be eligible for the next level that is JEE Advanced, as per India Today report.
“The qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced is 89. Earlier, average qualifying percentile was 74, therefore students were not expecting it to go above 80,” Alia Mirza, an aspirant who qualified JEE Mains was quoted as saying by the report.
Those who have cleared the JEE Mains would now have to fill the form between May 3 and May 9, 2019. The JEE Mains will be conducted on May 28, 2019, noted the report. After the declaration of results, students would head for counselling from various institutes including Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) or the concerned State government/institute for Seat Allocation Process and admission procedure.
“The counselling may vary from institute and state, for instance, Jamia Millia Islamia, National Institute of Technology, Indraprastha University etc.”
Reasons for students being upset:
- Because the cut-off has been increased this year, the overall rank has been dipped
- Students who are relying on the rank of JEE Mains would have several options in other state universities
- The JEE Advanced rank will only be useful in the admissions process of Indian Institute of Technology
- Once the students will get admission, they will immediately have to go ahead with other legal and official work.
Several students tweeted about their anguish regarding the outcome of the results. Abhishek tweeted addressing @PMO and @PrakashJavdekar, “JEE Main Result is out yesterday, but it’s totally a scam. Students with low percentile are getter rank and it’s the first time at 180 market students getting 40k rank otherwise 10k.
Avadhesh Singh tweeted: “NTA JEE Main Result 2019 is totally absurd. Students got good marks but drastically low percentiles and rank as compared to previous years. No transparency in the result. It’s a scam.
Earlier, under CBSE, the students were asked to take one central exam; however, this year, under NTA, students appeared for two different examinations.
“This year there were two different exams in multiple sitting. Also, the difficulty level varied from exam-to-exam,” Mirza says.
JEE (Main)-April 2019 has two papers, Paper-1 (BE /B Tech) and paper-2 (B.Arch. /B.Planning). Candidates may take Paper-1 (B E /B Tech) or Paper-2 (B Arch /B.Planning.) or both as per the course(s) they are seeking admission to.
JEE Main score is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and even private engineering and architecture courses. A cut-off will also be released for the candidates to qualify for JEE Advanced examination which is an entrance gateway for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), added the report.
