Job Openings for Class X Passed Candidates at Central Institute of Psychiatry Ranchi
The Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP) Ranchi has invited applications from Class X pass candidates for recruitment as multi-tasking staff, according to the NDTV report. A total of 93 vacancies will be filled through written examination, physical test and skill test.
The last date for submission of job applications is January 19. Candidates have to submit their application in the prescribed format available in the official website cipranchi.nic.in. Candidates should enclose self-attested copies of documents supporting educational/ professional qualification, experience, registration, caste, etc. along with the application form. Applicants should be within 18-25 years of age.
The written test will consist of 100 questions and candidates will be allowed one hour and thirty minutes to attempt the paper. Merit list will be finalised on the basis of the scores obtained by candidates in the written examination. Physical test and skill test will be qualifying in nature. The results of these two tests will be declared on the same day.

Central Institute of Psychiatry is a premier institution for mental health in the country. The British established this hospital on May 17, 1918, with the name of Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum. CIP, Ranchi has come a long way covering a journey of 100 years witnessing many transitions and at the same time taking the credit of development of a comprehensive mental health service delivery centre with many innovations in the field of mental health and neurosciences including clinical services, state of art research and manpower training in the country. Spread across 211 acres in the picturesque city of Ranchi, today, CIP offers the latest medical advances in an environment that promotes mental health and enhances a sense of wellbeing.
Currently, there are 17 Wards, seven wards for the male patients and 06 for the female patients, one ward for the centre for child and adolescent psychiatry, one ward for the centre for addiction psychiatry, one Family Unit and one Emergency Ward.
The Institute is affiliated to Ranchi University. The admission for M.D (Psychiatry) and Diploma in Psychological Medicine is through NEET-PG examinations whereas the admission for the other courses is through a national level entrance examination conducted by the Institute. The advertisements for admission are published between the months of October – November every year and the examination is conducted in February preferably on a third Sunday.
The session for all the courses commences from 1st May every year. The candidates are selected for admission by a Selection Committee constituted by the Director General of Health Services, New Delhi.
