MPSC Recruitment 2019 invites online applications for Direct Recruitment of Engineers

MPSC Recruitment 2019 – There are a total of 376 openings at various departments of Manipur, as per the recent announcement by the Manipur Public Service Commission’s (MPSC), which invited online applications for direct recruitment of engineers (section officers and deputy managers) in Engineering Department, Government of Manipur and Manipur State Power Company Limited, as per TOI report.

The aspiring candidates can visit the official website, empscoonline.gov.in and apply. The online admission is open from January 25 and will end on February 7 11.59 PM.

Pay Scale

For the vacancies such as Section Officer Grade – I (Civil) and Public Works Department (157) and PHED (30), Water Resource Department (52) and Minor Irrigation Department (14), the pay scale ranges from Rs.9300-Rs.34,800 + GP 4200, while Section Officer Grade-II (Civil) and PHED (8), Water Resources Department (6) and Minor Irrigation Department (3), the pay scale ranges from Rs.5200-Rs.20,200 + GP Rs.2,800.

The Section Officer Grade-I/Deputy Manager (Electrical) and MSPCL (43) and PWD (16) the pay scale ranges from Rs.9300-Rs.34,800 + GP Rs.4,200. The Section Officer Grade-II/Assistant Manager (Electrical) and MSPCL (45), the pay scale ranges from Rs.5200-Rs.20,200 + GP 2,800, while Deputy Manager (IT and MSPCL (2) the pay scale ranges from Rs.9,300-Rs.34,800 + GP Rs.4200 and the total number of openings is 376.

Application Fee

For the candidates belonging to General Category and OBC the fee is Rs.600 and for SC/ST/PwD candidates the fee is Rs.400. The application fees can be paid online through net banking, credit/debit card etc.

Age Limit as on January 7, 2019

For General/UR candidates the age limit is from 21-38 years, while the relaxation (in upper age limit) for SC/ST candidates it is five years and for OBC candidates, it is three years.

Under Article 315(4) of the Constitution, the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) agreed to function as the Public Service Commission of the State of Manipur till October 21, 1972.  On October 3, 1972, the Governor of Manipur issued the order of constitution of the Manipur Public Service Commission under Article 318 with one Chairman and two Members. B.K. Nehru, Governor of Manipur inaugurated the office of the Manipur Public Service Commission on October 23, 1972, at the Gandhi Memorial Hall, Imphal.

G.B.K. Hooja MA, IAS was the inaugural Chairman of the Commission, while Laishram Gopal Singh BA(Hon.), IPS and Sibo Larho BA were the premiere members. Karam Gourakishore Singh was the first Secretary of the Manipur Public Service Commission.

The Commission was housed in the Old Secretariat Building Complex for almost nine years; it was later shifted to the present location in January 1981. Over the years, Manipur Public Service Commission has grown in stature with a senior IAS officer as the Secretary and an adequate number of officers and ancillary staff.
