NTA begins application process of JEE Main 2019 examination to be held in April

JEE Main 2019 – The National Testing Agency (NTA), India’s premium agency to handle education examinations had just commenced the application process for JEE Main April 2019 from February 8. Citing the NTA, the India Today report said, the candidates who had already appeared for the JEE Main January 2019 examination are also eligible to apply for the JEE Main II examination to be held in April this year. If a candidate appears in both the JEE main examinations, the better of the two scores would be considered in order to determine their eligibility for the next level, noted the report.

How to apply for JEE Main 2019 Examination

The registration process for JEE Main April 2019 examination for candidates who also appeared in the January 2019 JEE Main involves the given the following steps:

  • Click on the application link given on the JEE Main website
  • Login by using JEE Main January 2019 application number and password and date of birth
  • Fill the application form by filling choice of course(s) (Paper 1 or Paper 2 or both), question paper medium, and choice of four centre cities
  • Pay the application fee by debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ e-challan
  • A confirmation page will appear. Download and save the confirmation page.

About JEE (Main) 2019

  • The JEE (Main)-2019 will be conducted twice before admissions in the next academic session
  • This will give one more opportunity to the students to improve their scores in the examination if they fail to give their best in the first attempt without wasting their whole academic year
  • In the first attempt, the students will get a first-hand experience of taking an examination and to know their mistakes which they can improve while attempting for the second time
  • This will reduce chances of dropping a year and droppers would not have to waste a full year
  • If anyone missed the examination due to reasons beyond control, then he/she won’t have to wait for one full year
  • The student’s best of the two NTA scores will be considered for preparation of Merit List/ Ranking
  • The first JEE (Main) -2019 was held in January 2019 whereas the second will be held in April 2019

  • To develop a state of the art culture of testing in India by using domestic and international expertise
  • To collaborate with international organizations like ETS to achieve the same
  • To undertake any other examination that is entrusted to it by the Ministries/Departments of Government of India/State Governments
  • To undertake the reforms and training of school boards as well as other bodies where the testing standards should be comparable with the entrance examinations
