Online Application Process of UP STE 2018 ends on October 4

The online application process of Uttar Pradesh State Teacher Eligibility Test 2018 (UP STE 2018) will close at 6.00 PM on October 4, 2018. According to a TOI report, the complete application form can be submitted online up to October 5. As per the story, the UP TET online applications are invited by UP Basic Education Board from September 18 to October 4. The notification release came on September 15, and the last date of fee payment is October 4, and the final submission of application is October 5. The time of examination is on October 28, noted the report.

Application Fee

For general and OBC candidates, the application fee is Rs.400, and for SC/ST candidates it is Rs.200, while the PH candidates need not pay any fee. The application fees can be paid online through Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or candidates can pay fee Offline by Bank challan as well.

UPTET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

UPTET has two sets of applicants – Applicants for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5) and Applicants for Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8). The eligibility criteria for both sets of applicants are different.

UPTET Qualification of Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

  • Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognised by RCI.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC (Urdu)/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are in final year/ passed Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
  • For Urdu Teaching: Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997.
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED.

UPTET Qualification of Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

  • Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC in an institute affiliated to NCT
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed (Specialization) in an institute affiliated to RCI
  • Candidates who have scored 50% marks in intermediate and who are presently studying in the final year or passed B.Ed
  • Candidates who are currently considering in the final year or passed B.S.C.Ed
  • Candidates who are presently studying in the final year or passed B.EL.ED.

Age

  • The age of the applicant must be between 18 Years and 35 Years.
  • Candidates who belong to reserved categories would be given age relaxation as per the norms prescribed by the government.
  • For the UR candidates the age is from 18-35, for OBC it is 18-38 years, SC/ST it is 18-40 years for PH candidates it is 18-45 years.
