Shoolini University Offers Job Oriented Programs in Yoga
Shoolini University is known for its innovative courses and novel approach to education. It has recently started an undergraduate degree program in Yoga Sciences – BSc (Hons) Yoga Science. The course aims to provide detailed knowledge about yoga to its participating students. The course will cover the foundations of yoga, its applications, and the benefits of practising yoga. Students who have completed their 10+2 education in any stream with at least 55% marks are eligible to apply for this course.
The course will be divided into six semesters.
The first semester will have courses in Universe and Human Life, General Science, Basic Yoga, and Basic Sanskrit.
The second semester will cover introductory course on Upanishad, yoga and human psychology, IT tools, Patanjali yoga sutra.
The third semester will have courses in human anatomy and physiology, advanced information on Patanjali yoga sutra, hath yoga texts, and human values and ethics.
The fourth semester will comprise courses in more hath yoga texts, common ailments, diet and nutrition, yoga concepts from the Bhagavad Gita, and the science of Kriya Yoga.
The fifth semester will cover research methodologies, meditation techniques, yoga therapy, basics of naturopathy and Ayurveda.
The final semester will teach students modern yoga philosophy and yoga in India and the world, Yoga and the contribution of India in the field of yoga to the rest of the world, and applied yoga practices.
Besides these courses, each semester will have Yoga practical’s, elective subjects, and also seminars.
