Tentative dates for JNUEE 2019 declared

JNUEE 2019 – The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has tentatively announced the dates for the JNU Entrance Examination (JNUEE 2019). According to the circular released on the official website, the JNUEE 2019 entrance examination will be held from December 27-30, 2018.  The application forms for JNUEE 2019 will be made available shortly. Students who want to pursue various undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered must attend the JNU Admission 2019. The JNU provides various programs for which the candidates can choose their favourite subjects. The admissions offered by JNU include 37 PG programs for 1065 seats. The admissions are given based on the merit of the candidates and performance of the entrance test. The merit list and cut-off will be different for different programs offered by the university. Candidates can check the cut-off and merit list online itself.

Important dates

The notification, the online application window opening and closing will happen in October 2018, the issue of admit card will be in December 2018, the JNU Entrance Examination will be held from December 27-30, 2018; the results (for via-voice) and the declaration of results (for non- viva-voice papers) will be held in February 2019. The publication of merit list (for non-viva-voice papers) and the conduct of viva voice based on JNU results will be held in March 2019. The declaration of results (for viva voice papers) and publication of merit list (for viva-voice documents) will be held in April 2019.

The registration of candidates for JNU admissions, JNU admissions 2019 begins, the last date to deposit fee for JNU admissions, the release of second merit list for JNU admissions (wherever applicable) and registration of candidates based on second admission list of JNU will be held in July 2019. The JNU admissions 2019 end in August 2019.

Admission process

The JNU will hold JNUEE 2019 for candidates who wish to seek admission for the PG programs. The admission to JNU started with the application form which was released in September 2018. Candidates need to fill and submit the application forms before the last date. Only those candidates who complete the application forms successfully will be able to attend the JNU Admission 2019. After which the University will release the results. Following the declaration of the results, the University will publish the merit list after which qualified candidates will have to fill and submit the admission forms by which the admissions will be offered.


Jawaharlal Nehru University will list the eligibility criteria for the different programmes offered by the University. Candidates who wish to apply for the courses offered by the University must make sure that they qualify the eligibility mentioned for the particular course. The minimum qualification for the undergraduate programme is 10+2 with minimum marks mentioned while the ability for the postgraduate programme will be 10+2+3 from a recognised university with minimum marks specified by the university.

Application Form

The Application forms for the admissions to the different programme offered by JNU will start tentatively from October 2018. The University begins the admission process roughly six months before the admission season. Candidates must make sure to fill and submit the application forms before the deadline mentioned by the university. The JNU 2019 application form will be available only online. Candidates filling JNUEE admission form will have to start by registering themselves online for the Jawaharlal Nehru University Common Entrance Examination. They have to provide the details such as name, date of birth, address and contact details besides providing their email id,  password and photograph and signature.

Candidates have to pay an application fee for JNU 2019 admissions online using Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking payment options. After filling JNU 2019 application form, candidates have to take a print out of the filled-in application form for Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination (JNUEE/ JNU CEE) and keep it with them until JNU admissions for the year is completed. Candidates must also note that there is no need to send a copy of the application form via post.
