Thumping collaboration with Stanford University- IIM, Kozhikode
With Stanford University as part of its premier executive education program, EPGP, The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, one of India’s top-ranked business schools recently announced collaboration. Under this collaboration, over the course of one year by the Stanford faculty via the live virtual platform of TSW or The Second Wind, an initiative by Times Professional Learning for working professionals, five interrelated webinars will be delivered periodically. Designed for remote participants, a cohesive educational experience tailored to the goals of working professionals will be provided by Stanford Centre for Professional Development (SCPD) Masterclass Webinar Series in Design Thinking & Innovation and therefore adds significant value to the students of the flagship program from IIMK (or IIM Kozhikode).
From Stanford University, the participants will also receive individual certificates of participation. Within their organisations, Design Thinking & Innovation will introduce participants to the nature of innovation and creativity, and how to use the design thinking process to promote and scale innovation said the statement. In an Executive Education Program, IIM Kozhikode is the first IIM to collaborate with an Ivy League University noted a report from the Kerala-based management institute.
To foster innovative projects, Participants will learn how to support creative ideas and practices, design teams identify pockets of innovation and excellence, and create processes which reveal innovative solutions to organisational or customer issues.

The Dean, Extension Programs of IIMK, Prof. C Raju, further added, “This strategic alliance with Stanford University would go a long way giving exposure to the latest Design Thinking Techniques to the participants of EPGP and will help them as well as the organisations they work. It is just a beginning of such great international collaborations.”
Exclusively for women in their prestigious postgraduate programme in management (PGP), IIM Kozhikode recently has decided to create 60 additional seats from the next academic year. The chance of candidates will not be affected by these extra seats in existing seats.
Short Brief on IIMK
IIM Kozhikode pioneered the Interactive – Learning (I-L) Program for working executives in India. The interactive learning programme started with 300 class contact hours in 2001-02, the two-year-long Executive Management Education Programme is today the most rigorous available in the country having around 738 class contact hours.
