TS LAWCET and PGLCET 2019 to be held on May 20

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has extended the deadline to apply for the Telangana State Law and PG Law Common Entrance examination to April 25, 2019. Interested candidates can still apply for the LAWCET and PGLCET 2019 at the official website, tsche.ac.in. The last date to apply with late fee is May 16, 2019, when a late fee of Rs 4000 will be applicable. The late fee worth Rs 500 will be applicable from May 7, 2019, onwards and will increase thereafter, according to the IE report.

Steps to Apply

  • Visit the official website, tsche.ac.in
  • On the homepage, click on ‘LAWCET 2019’ on common entrance test 2019 box on left
  • You will be redirected to a new page
  • On the new page, click on ‘fill application form’
  • Register using personal details
  • Log-in, fill form, upload documents
  • Make payment

Fee

  • For LAWCET candidates will have to pay Rs 800 and for PGLCET they will have to pay Rs 1000
  • For reserved category candidates, it is Rs 500 for LAWCET and Rs.1000 for PGLCET examination

The LAWCET and PGLCET are scheduled to be held on May 20, 2019 (Monday) from 11.00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. The Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) and Telangana State PG Law Common Entrance Test (TS PGLCET-2019) will be held by Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education for admission into three and five year LLB and two-year LLM courses in the state-based law colleges for the academic year 2019-2020.

Functions

  • To prepare consolidated programs in the sphere of Higher Education in the State in accordance with the guidelines that may be issued by the UGC from time to time, and to assist in their implementation, keeping in view the overall priorities and perspectives of Higher Education in the State
  • To assist the UGC in respect of determination and maintenance of standards and suggest remedial action wherever necessary
  • To evolve perspective plans for the development of Higher Education in the State
  • To forward the development programmes of Universities and Colleges in the State at the UGC along with its comments and recommendations
  • To monitor the progress of implementation of such developmental programs
  • To promote cooperation and coordination of the educational institutions among themselves and explore the scope for interaction with industry and other related establishments
  • To formulate the principles as per the guidelines of the Government and to decide upon, approve and sanction new educational institutions by according permission keeping in view the various norms and requirements to be fulfilled
