Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering, Chennai was established under Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust established in 1990 that aims to impact technical and medical education to aspiring students. It also focuses on providing educational opportunities to students belonging to weaker social and economic sections as well as to those who hail from backward communities. The underlying commitment is the spirit behind the trust that promotes education amongst all strata of the society with a view to dispel ignorance and superstition, eradicate illiteracy and equip the youth with knowledge and training that will improve the employability and pave way for their gainful employment eventually leading to the development of the society as a whole.
The college object and aims of the society is to promote education of all types and grades among the people of the country in general and in particular among the backward communities with a view to accelerate the liquidation of ignorance, superstition and illiteracy. The term backward community means and includes Muslims and all other sections of the nation who are educationally, socially and economically backward.
