Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women (BNCA), Pune was established in 1994 under Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Sanstha, Pune, founded in 1896, with the main mission of uplifting the social, educational, financial and spiritual conditions of women and widows, making them confident and self reliant. It offers bachelor of architecture, master of architecture and doctorate programs under Savitribai Phule Pune University, autonomous diploma program.
The institute is conceived as a multidisciplinary center of learning where architectural education is considered as a total personality development program. The aim of the institute is to be one of the best colleges of Architecture in the world, by achieving the highest standards in architectural education, research and other related activities besides uplifting the socio-economic, educational and spiritual status of women, the mission is to produce good architects, with a complete personality who can do justice to all aspects of life, besides developing into good human beings.
The objective of architectural education in this institute is to tap and develop the artistic skills, intellectual abilities and creative instincts of the students. It focuses on the basic research in the technological fields of architecture, planning and computer based training of an international level, to provide a global exposure to our students in architectural education, placement and professional word.
Campus of Dr. Bhanuben Nanavati College of Architecture for Women –
BNCA is a part of 26 acre campus layout of their samstha at Karvenagar. The college has a scenic landscaping around. It has about 30,000 sq. ft. of floor area on four floors. The college has a well designed building with a central courtyard for interaction, recreation and cultural activities and common facilities like workshop, playground, and canteen in campus.
