The Lomonosov Moscow State University set up in 1755 has over 40000graduate and post graduate students, around 7000 undergraduates and approximately 5000 specialists taking up the refresher course. It has international acclaim and about 4000 students from all over the world join the Lomonosov Moscow State University.

The Lomonosov Moscow State University has a stunning architecture and takes pride in their unmatchable infrastructure. It has a distinctively eye catching landscape with design intricacies and complexities. The floor area is 1000000 square meters consisting of 1000 buildings and structures. It has 8 dormitories accommodating more than 12000 students. The utility lines run up to 300 kilometers.

The unique advantage of the Lomonosov Moscow State University is its marvelous library system. The MSU library is one of the major and largest libraries in Russia which is home to 9000000 books. Of these 2000000 books are foreign language books. The MSU library has an average of 55000 readers who read 5500000 books each year.

The MSU is a very old university with a life of over 264 years. In January 2005 MSU celebrated its 250th anniversary. It is named after academician Mikhail Lomonosov in 1940 who made some valuable contributions toward setting up of the university.

Lenin hills is where the university is situated and MSU is sure a prized possession of Moscow standing tall in Lenin hills. The university has produced quite a lot of Nobel laureates such as Abrikosov, Ginzburg, Gorbachev, etc.

MSU has branch campuses in Sebastopol, Kazakstan, Tashkent, Baku, Dushanbe and Yerevan. They also actively participate in social services where organize summer camps, have health resorts ,provide catering service ,etc.They also have Museum of Earth science, Museum of MSU history and Museum of Zoology. Research centers are another USP of MSU .The MSU oil and gas center, International Laser Center, Eurasian center for food safety are just a few feathers on MSU’s hat.
