National Institute of Technology (NIT-D), Delhi was established in 2010 is one of the 10 new NITs setup by Government of India. It has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by an act of Parliament of India. The institute aim is to provide for instruction and research in branches of engineering, technology, management, education, science and arts & for advancement of learning and dissemination of knowledge in such branches.
The instittue is a fully funded Government Institute under the Ministry of HRD, Government of India. The mission of the institute is to produce human resource which is creative, competitive and innovative and has high ethical values. The institute is imparting holistic education, along with inculcating high moral values in its students.

- Cultural club-The club is pertaining to all events related to Dance, Dramatics, Music and various other subtle cultural skills in National Institute of Technology Delhi and outside competitions on behalf of the college
- Literature Club-The club is pertaining to all events related to Public Speaking, Quizzing and Writing in National Institute of Technology, Delhi, which will also be play a major role in bringing out college magazine or yearbook in upcoming future
- Tech Club-The club has been set up to conduct and co-ordinate all events and workshops related to technical aspects along with organizing gaming competitions at intra as well as inter- institute level
