Punjab Agricultural University – [Pau], Ludhiana was started in the year 1962 located in the state of Punjab. The great aspect about this college was inaugurated by the then Prime Minister, Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, in the year 1963. The University was approved by the Parliament Act. The college was initially started with agricultural related courses but later looking at the demand of the course, they started the Veterinary Sciences in 2006. The major contribution of the college to the societal development is worked for the increased food production and contributed for the green revolution campaign in India. Along with this they also strenuously involved in livestock enhancement and focussed on poultry production. Considering all these establishments, this University was considered to be the best agricultural university in the year 1995. This is one of the pioneer institutions involved with intensive research and societal development. They wanted this nation to be self enough in production and wanted to be independent in farming activities. They work with a collaborative approach of traditional and modern methods in developing this farming works. The fullest aim is to facilitate the nation with farm mechanisation and how crops could be cultivated during the non-conventional seasons.
