UPSC announce IES/ISS 2018 results

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination IES/ISS 2018 on its official website on November 28, 2018, upsc.gov.in and 46 candidates have cleared the written examination round.

There are 47 openings for IES/ISS Examination 2018. As per the NDTV report, the candidature will remain valid only for three months, and the Commission will provide the offer of appointment to the candidates just after verifying the original documents. The selection of candidates is for the graduates in economics and statistics field for appointment to the junior time scale of the services.

Final Written Examination Results

The comprehensive final list of the candidates who have cleared the examination has been uploaded, which has details such as roll number, name and elaborate description of the number of persons selected. The UPSC has uploaded the IES/ISS 2018 results in PDF file and if the candidates who want to see the result should log in to the official website and key in their roll numbers. In the second round, the candidates who have cleared this examination need to appear for a personality test. After that, the Commission will release the final result, which will be by the candidate’s written examination marks as well as the personality test.

The Union Public Service Commission, government’s recruitment body for central civil services, had commenced the recruitment process as early as March this year. Candidates have been selected by their performance in written examination held in June/ July and personality test in November.

In 2017, the cut off marks for IES selection was 584 (48.6%) and 580 (48.3%) for ISS. For this year, the marks will be released by Commission within 15 days.

What is more, the Commission will publish the written test and interview marks of both recommended and non-recommended candidates as per the government’s decision to facilitate the absorption of none endorsed candidates by other public and private recruitment agencies.

Apart from that, the Commission has a facilitation counter in the campus functional on all working days from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Candidates can also place their query regarding the examination over the phone.
