Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Training UPTET 2018 result out

The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has announced the result of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Training (UPTET) 2018 examination for the recruitment of teachers at both primary and pre-primary level in the UP Government. The results are available on the official website, upbasiceduboard.gov.in. Held on November 18, 2018, around 20 lakh candidates registered for the examination according to an IE report.

Selected candidates will be eligible for the jobs of primary and upper primary teachers in the UP government schools. Vacancies are for teachers for class 1-8. Class 1 to class 5 teachers will be considered primary, and those who get shortlisted to teach for class 6 to class 8 will be under the upper primary category. Result for both the posts has been declared, noted the report.

All the candidates qualifying UPTET 2018 will be awarded an eligibility certificate which will be valid for five years. After receiving the certificate, the successful candidates will be able to apply in the Uttar Pradesh schools. To get their UPTET eligibility certificate, candidates are required to provide the following documents:

  • Photocopy of their UPTET admit card 2018
  • One identity card such as Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, Driving License, Passport, and Voter ID Card to the authorities

UP government has also declared 69,000 new jobs for teachers at the post of assistant professor. The examination registrations will start from today – December 6, 2018. The examination will be held on January 6, 2019.

Citing the officials, the report said that the UPTET result 2018 for paper II (primary phase) would be released on December 12, 2018. This time for each correct answer will carry one mark, and no negative marking has been done for wrong answers.

UPTET Qualification of Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5)

  • Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in final year of D.Ed (Specialization) in an institute recognised by RCI.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC (Urdu)/ passed in an institute affiliated to NCTE.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are in final year/ passed Diploma in Teaching from Aligarh Muslim University.
  • For Urdu Teaching: Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are Moa’llim-e-Urdu degree holders from Aligarh Muslim University before August 11, 1997.
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED.

UPTET Qualification of Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)

  • Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in an intermediate examination
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or those who are studying in the 2nd year of BTC in an institute affiliated to NCT
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with the minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed in an institute affiliated to NCTE
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with the minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of L.T. in an institute affiliated to NCTE
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation/ post-graduation with the minimum of 50% marks or those who have passed or currently studying in 2nd year of B.Ed (Specialization) in an institute affiliated to RCI
  • Candidates who have scored 50% marks in intermediate and who are presently studying in the final year or passed B.Ed
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year or passed B.S.C.Ed
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year or passed B.EL.ED.

Age

The age of the applicant must be between 18 Years and 35 Years. Candidates who belong to reserved categories would be given age relaxation as per the norms prescribed by the government. For UR category the age is 18-35 years, OBC 18-38 years, SC/ST 18-40 years and PH 18-45 years.
