JNU notifies release of application form for academic session 2019-20 delayed
JNUEE 2019– There is a delay in the release of e-prospectus and application form for the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) for the academic session 2019-20. The reason for the delay is attributed to the process of JNUEE 2019 Examination has been changed from offline to CBT examination, noted the report. What is more, the questions will now be entirely MCQ based, said the report.
Due to these changes, there is a certain delay in the release of application forms and e-prospectus. It may be recalled that the UGC had notified that the JNUEE 2019 Examination would be held from December 27-30, 2018. Furthermore, through another notification, the JNU had on November 11, 2018, clarified that the application form and e-prospectus will now be delayed.
In an official notification, Prof Deepak Gaur, Director (Admissions) JNU had said, “Due to a change in our entrance examination process, the announcement of the JNU Entrance Examinations (JNUEE) for the academic year 2019-20 and the e-prospectus/application process have been delayed. Therefore, we request the prospective candidates to keep visiting our admissions website for the announcement of the final dates of the entrance examination and e-prospectus for JNUEE 2019-20. The format for the JNUEE 2019-20 will be Multiple Choice Questions through Computer Based Test.”
The officials have requested the candidates to stay updated about the release dates of the application form and e prospectus via the official website. Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) 2019 is conducted for admission in various courses like M.Tech, Biotechnology, PG Diploma Programmes, MA, MCS, MCA, BA, etc. The entrance exam for Engineering and other exams is called JNUEE, and for the biotechnology admission it is known as CEEB – Common Entrance Examination for Biotechnology noted the report.
As per the new exam pattern of JNUEE, the exam will be conducted in the online mode, and there will be MCQ type questions. There is no other information about any new changes in the pattern as of now. However, until now the exam papers had 100 questions of total 100 marks. The entire time for the exam was 3 hours.
To appear in the JNUEE 2019 exam for admission in the University, candidates have to fill the application form in online mode only. Candidates have to make the payment online. Usually, JNU releases their application forms in September. However, this year the delay is due to the conversion of the offline mode of examination to an entirely CBT mode said the report.
To fill the application form, candidates have to register first by entering their Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Nationality, Date of Birth, etc. Candidates will also have to upload photograph and signature in the defined dimensions. To complete the process the application fee has to be paid in the online mode in the later stage.
JNU has been ranked number one in India by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a Grade Point of 3.91 (on a scale of 4). In addition to that, in NIRF ranking it has been ranked No. 2 in the university category in the year 2018, added the report.
