Admit Card of AIIMS PG July 2019 released

The All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) has released the admit card for the entrance examination to be held in the July 2019. As per IE report, the Admit Card for the PG examination is available at the official website, aiimsexams.org. The PG July 2019 examination is scheduled to be conducted on May 5, 2019.

Steps to download Admit Card

  • Visit the official website- aiimsexams.org
  • Click on ‘download admit card’ link
  • Enter registration number, roll number
  • Admit card will appear on screen
  • Download it, and take a print out for further reference

Eligibility

  • The medical aspirant should have an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from an institution recognised by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India
  • Candidates need to have completed one year of rotating internship on or before January 31, 2019
  • The general category candidates are required to have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category should have scored an aggregate of 50%

AIIMS PG 2019 offers admission to five MDS programs and a total of 499 MD/MS seats in Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences. Apart from the main centre in New Delhi which was established in 1956, there are six other colleges at various cities across India. The colleges are AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Patna, AIIMS Raipur, AIIMS Rishikesh

An Act of Parliament in 1956 established the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) as an autonomous institution of national importance and defined its objectives and functions. By virtue of this Act, the Institute awards its own medical degrees and other academic distinctions. The degrees awarded by the Institute under the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Act are recognized medical qualifications for the purpose of the Indian Medical Council Act and notwithstanding anything contained therein, are deemed to be included in the first schedule of that Act, entitling the holders to the same privileges as those attached to the equivalent awards from the recognized Universities of India.

Objectives

  • In the field of postgraduate education, the most important function of the Institute is to provide opportunities for training teachers for medical colleges in the country in an atmosphere of research and enquiry
  • Postgraduate students are exposed to newer methods of teaching and given opportunities to actively participate in teaching exercises
  • The other important objectives of the Institute are to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all the important branches of health activity and to attain self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education
  • The educational principles and practices being adopted are those which are best suited to the needs of the nation
