Online application process of FMGE to be closed on May 6 as NBE release application form

The National Board of Examination (NBE) has announced the release of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Application form 2019. As per the screening test regulations 2002, as Indian citizens/overseas citizens of India possessing a primary medical qualification awarded by any medical institution outside India, who are desirous of getting provisional or permanent registration with Medical Council of India or State Medical Council on or after March 15, 2002 need to qualify the FMGE screening test. The online application process began on April 15 and those aspiring candidates might as well apply online till May 6, noted the report. The candidates have to visit the official website, natboard.edu.in and apply as the FMGE examination is scheduled to be held on June 28.

Eligibility

• The candidates need to be a citizen of India
• The candidates need to possess a primary educational qualification confirmed by the Indian Embassy
• Candidates who possess undergraduate and postgraduate medical degrees from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States of America need not appear for FMGE 2019 June session.

Important instructions:

• Fill the registration form for obtaining User ID and Password
• User ID and password will be sent through SMS and Email
• Fill the application form and upload your photograph & signature
• Upload your documents
• Choose your test city
• Make a payment of fees
• Possession or use of mobile phones or electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the premises of NBE examination centres
• Candidates will be liable for penal action for the possession as well as the use of mobile phones or electronic devices

Key dates

• Availability of information bulletin April 15 onwards
• Online submission of application form April 15 to May 6
• Examination date June 28
• Declaration of the result by July 31

Examination Fee

• The Examination fee for FMGE is Rs.5,500
• The prescribed registration fee should be remitted through payment gateway provided on the official website through credit card or a debit card issued by the banks of India or the candidates might as well pay through net banking
• Candidates remaining absent from the examination will forfeit their examination fee
• Candidates are advised to read the rule position carefully and satisfy the terms and conditions for fulfilment of eligibility criteria before proceeding for payment of fees
• Fees will neither be refunded nor carried forward, if the application for FMGE is rejected or if the candidature is found to be ineligible

FMGE Scheme

• The examination consists of one paper, comprising 300 multiple choices, single correct response questions in English language only, delivered in two parts to be taken in a single day
• The examination will be multiple choice questions test delivered using computer network as per the prescribed scheme
• There will be no negative marking
