CBSE 2019 result dates for Class 10 and Class 12 announced

CBSE exams – The Central Board of Secondary Education has decided to conduct the exams early this year and it has also decided that the results for the said exams will be declared earlier than the previous years. The tentative date for the declaration of the results has been decided to be May 10, 2019. This was made known by a senior officer of the CBSE Board’s Regional office at Dehradun.

Making a request for anonymity the officer said that the board had decided and it is quoted here, “The board has decided to complete evaluation of all examination papers by April 20 and declare results by May 10.”

But it was not made clear if the results for both class 10 as well as class 12 will be declared early as compared to the past years when the results used to be declared in the third week of May.

The board has taken this decision keeping in mind an order passed by the High court and also because it aims that the students should have all the required documents with them if they wish to change their school due to some reasons.

The official added that “The board took the decision of announcing results by May 10 this year, following an order from the Delhi High Court. We want to make sure that by the time students take admission in colleges in June or if students change schools then they should have the final documents including the mark sheet and examination certificate,”

As there was a paper leak last year the CBSE had decided to send digital questions to the board exam centres, but now it has decided that the question papers which will be sent to the Exam centres will be in the form of hard copies and the digital question papers will only be used in case of emergency. Digital question papers are double encrypted.

Every year, it is in the month of March and April that the CBSE conducts its centralized final exams for Class X and Class XII and its affiliated schools. The CBSE Class 10 Board Exams are called All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) and the Class 12 board exams are called – All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE).

The CBSE board is preferred by students due to many of its qualities like a uniform standard of education which is very helpful when students have to get themselves enrolled in schools of another state due to reasons unforeseen or due to the parents being in transferable jobs.
