CGPSC State Service Notification 2018 out

The State Service Examination notification has come from Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC 2018), which is available on the official website, psc.cg.gov.in. As per the Commission, the CGPSC State Services Preliminary Examination will be conducted on February 17, 2019, and the main examinations will be held in June next year. The online registration for this recruitment will commence on the official website from December 7, 2018, to January 1, 2019, according to the NDTV report. Overall there are 160 openings in the Commission’s State Services.

“The state services applications will be accepted through online mode only. The Commission will not accept any applications sent through manual or post,” said the notification.

Class of Service/Post

The Class of Service/Post includes State Civil Service (Deputy Collector), State Police Service (Deputy Superintendent of Police), State Accounts Service, Commercial Tax Officer, District Excise Officer, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, District Organiser – Tribal Welfare; Labour Officer, District Registrar, Employment Officer, Area Organiser, Block Development Officer, Assistant Director Food/Food Officer; Project Officer – Social/Rural Intensive Literary Project, Subordinate Civil Service (Naib Tahsildar), Assistant Superintendent Land Records, Commercial Tax Inspector, Excise Sub-Inspector, Transport Sub-Inspector, Cooperative Inspector, Assistant Labour Officer, Assistant Jailor, Sub-Registrar, Assistant Director Public Relation; Principal, Panchayat Secretary of the Training Institute; District Women Child Development Officer, Chief Instructor (Anganwadi/Gram Sevikas Training Centre), Assistant Director (Women and Child Development), Superintendent (Institutions); Project Officer (Integrated Child Development Project), Assistant Project Officer (Special Nutrition Program), Area Oranizer (MDM); District Commandant Home Guard, Assistant Director Local Fund Audit; Chief Executive Officer (Janpad Panchayat); Chhattisgarh Subordinate Account Service Officer, Superintendent District Jail, Assistant Director (Urban Administration and Development Department, Assistant Director (Social Welfare Department) and Assistant Project Officer (Panchayat and Rural Development Department).

The Combined Competitive Examination comprises the following successive stages:

  • The State Services Preliminary Examination for the selection of candidates for Main Examination
  • The State Services Main Examination (written examination and interview) for final selection of candidates for various categories of services and posts. The scheme of study and syllabi of different subjects are given under the Appendix I and the course (Annexure-III) for the main examination will be published later.

All candidates, irrespective of their preference for a particular service/post will have to appear in the same number of papers mentioned in the scheme of the examination (Appendix I). The candidates obtaining minimum marks in the preliminary examinations as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion shall be arranged in the order of marks obtained by them. Out of these candidates only about as many as equal to 15 times at the most the total number of posts under various categories, will be deemed to qualify for the Main Examination and the results of the preliminary examination shall be announced accordingly. The list of candidates belonging to an unreserved category, SC, and ST and OBC qualifying for the main examination shall be separately prepared, and their results announced accordingly. Preliminary Examination and marks obtained in this examination will not be considered at the time of final selection of candidates.

The candidates who appear in the Main Examination and obtain such minimum marks as may be fixed by the Commission in their discretion, will be arranged in the order of total marks obtained by them in the Main t. Out of these candidates only about as many as equal three times the total number of posts under various services will be deemed to qualify for being called for interview. Similarly, a separate list of candidates belonging to an unreserved category, SC, ST and OBC who are eligible for being called for interview shall e prepared. After the discussion the candidates will be arranged by the Commission in the order of merit as disclosed by the aggregate of marks awarded to them in the Main Examination and the interview.
