HPBOSE Class X Board Result 2019 out

The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBOSE) Class X result is out. The result link is available on the official website and students can check their result now using their examination roll number. The result is also available on some private result hosting websites. The Board had released Class XII examination result on April 22, 2019. As per reports, 1.11 lakh students appeared in the HPBOSE 10th exam, out of which 67,391 passed. In 2018, the HP Class X result was released on May 3. 63.39% students had passed the exam last year. In year 2017, 67.15% candidates cleared the Class 10 examinations.

In the Class XII Board examination, out of the total 95,492 who had registered for the HPBOSE Class XII examination, 58,922 candidates qualified for higher education. Out of these, 28375 boys passed and 30574 girls passed. The Class XII pass percentage was lower this time as compared to 70.18% in 2018 and 72.89 per cent in 2017, quoting PTI, the report said.

The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala came into existence in 1969 as per Himachal Pradesh Act No. 14 of 1968 with its head-quarter at Shimla later shifted to Dharamshala in January 1983. The Board started with a staff strength of 34 officials which has subsequently increased to 643. The Education Board prescribes syllabus, courses of instructions and text books for school education in Himachal Pradesh besides conducting examinations based on courses listed. At present, the Board conducts examination for the following classes and courses: 10th, 10+2, J.B.T and T.T.C. As many as 5 Lakh candidates annually appear in the examination conducted by the Board. Presently more than 8000 schools are affiliated with the Board. The Board has set up 1846 Examination centres throughout the state. Board also publishes text books for Class -XII. Apart from a Liaison Office at Shimla, the Board has also established 26 Book Distribution and Guidance/Information Centres in the state to cater to the needs of students.
