Pragati and Saksham Scholarship Schemes extended to October 31

Pragati and Saksham Scholarship Schemes –  The Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, through All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has invited applications for scholarship schemes which will be offered to differently-abled candidates and female students. The last date to apply for Pragati and Saksham Scholarship Schemes has been deferred to October 31, 2018. Pragati is the MHRD Scheme implemented by AICTE, while it aims at assisting Advancement of girls pursuing technical education.

The documents required to be submitted include:

  • The mark sheet of Class X/Class 12/others as applicable
  • Annual family Income Certificate for the preceding financial year in the prescribed format issued by not below the rank of Tahsildar
  • Admission letter published by Directorate of Technical Education for the admission in Diploma/Degree course
  • Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/ Head of the Institute
  • Tuition fee receipt

About Saksham scheme

  • Saksham is aimed at providing encouragement and support to specially-abled children to pursue Technical Education
  • This is an attempt to give every young student, who is otherwise specially abled, the opportunity to study further and prepare for a prosperous future

Documents required for the scheme

  • Mark Sheet of standard Class 10 /Class 12 / others as applicable
  • Annual family Income Certificate for the preceding financial year in the prescribed format issued by not below the rank of Tahsildar
  • Disability certificate issued by Competent Authority
  • Admission letter published by Directorate of Technical Education for the admission in Diploma/Degree course
  • Certificate issued by the Director/Principal/ Head of the Institute

Amount of Scholarships

Tuition Fee of Rs 30,000 or at actual, whichever is less and Rs 2000/- per month for ten months as incidentals charges each year. In case of Tuition fee waiver/reimbursement, students are eligible to get an amount of Rs 30,000 for the purchase of Books/Equipment/software/ laptop/desktop/vehicle/fee paid towards competitive examination applications forms/exam.

Scheme Name and Beneficiary

The short-term training program, the application opens November 1, 2018, and closes November 14, 2018, and the mode of application form is online, and the candidates have to apply to AICTE on its website aicte-India.or/schemes. The AICTE-ISTE-Refresher Programs, the application opens on November 1, 2018, and closes on November 14, 2018, the mode to apply is online, and the candidates will have to apply to ISTE on its website, its online.in. Professor Emeritus (DPE), Technical Book Writing and Trave Grant – (Faculty), the application is open round the year, and the candidates will have to apply online on AICTE official website.

AICTE – INAE – DVP and AICTE – INAE – TRF, the application is already open, and it closes on October 30, and December 31, 2018, respectively and the online form should be applied on INAE website. QIP (Foreign University) the admission is already open, and the online application can be sent on the AICTE website. The RPS, application form opens on November 1, 2018, and closes on November 14, 2018. The online application should be submitted to AICTE website. The QIP application began on October 1, 2018, and closes on October 31, 2018, and the online form should be sent through iitd.ac.in.
