Provisional Timetable of Karnataka 2nd PUC 2019 released
The Karnataka Pre University Department has released the tentative timetable for PUC II (2nd year) annual examination to be held in March 2019, as per a TOI report. The provisional timetable for PUC II was released on October 29, 2018. The Karnataka Pre University Department will accept objects from students, teachers and parents before November 28, 2018.
The objections need to be submitted to the Joint Director (Examination) of PUE department. The final timetable will be published after considering complaints, noted the report.
Citing the information released by the department, the report said that the PUC II March 2019 examination would commence on Friday, March 1, 2018, with History, Physics and Basic Mathematics. The test will be conducted in the morning session (from 10.15 AM to 1.30 PM). The examination will end on March 18, 2019, Monday.
March 1, 2019, Friday, the morning session starting from 10.15 AM to 1.30 PM history, physics and necessary mathematics examinations will be held. On March 2, 2019, Saturday, IT, retail, automobile, healthcare and beauty and wellness (NSQF) examinations will be held. On March 5, 2019, Tuesday Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Arabic and French examinations will be held. On March 6, 2019, Wednesday Logic, Geology, Education and Home Science examinations will be held. On Thursday, March 7, 2019, Optional Kannada, Accountancy and Mathematics examinations will be conducted.
On March 8, 2019, Friday, Urdu and Sanskrit examinations will be held. On March 11, 2019, Monday, Business Studies, Sociology and Chemistry examinations will be held. On March 12, Tuesday, Geography, Carnatic Music and Hindustani Music examinations will be conducted, while on March 13, 2019, Wednesday Psychology, Electronics and Computer Science examinations would be held. On March 14, 2019, Thursday, Economics and Biology examinations will be conducted, and March 15, 2019, Friday, Hindi examination will be held. The Kannada examination will be held on the following day, Saturday and on March 18, 2019, Monday the last English examination will be conducted.
The Department of Pre-University, Government of Karnataka, is the organisation for implementation of higher secondary education in the state. We function under the Department of Primary and Secondary Education. There are 1202 Government Pre-University colleges, 637 Aided Pre-University colleges, 1936 Unaided Pre-University colleges, 165 bifurcated Pre-University colleges and 13 Corporation Pre-university colleges.
After X standard every year about ten lakhs students enrol in the 2-year Pre-university courses. The courses offered by the Department are broadly classified under the categories of Humanities (Arts), Science and Commerce. There are 23 subjects, 11 languages and 50 combinations in the Pre-University curriculum. In 2010-11, there were 4,43,185 students in Humanities in I and II PUC, 2,47,421 students in Science in I and II PUC and 2,77,189 students in commerce in I and II PUC.
